All you Star Wars fans will recognize the title of this blog post as a famous quote from The Empire Strikes Back, when Luke first encounters Yoda. What does this have to do with Android app development? If you’re in a hurry to make money with your Android app, don’t hold your breath. Even Edward Kim’s now famous Car Locator, which at one point grossed $13K in one month, started off with sales of only $5-6/day for the first two months. So if you’re getting all nervous and edgy about the lack of app sales – take a deep breath, relax, and go get yourself something to eat.

Messaging Family Drama is a unique 100 episode drama for Android phones.
Honolulu, HI – By combining the look and feel of a messaging application with an interesting story line, Mobile Bitworks introduces a unique daily drama for Android phones that will surely keep mobile users glued to their handsets.
“Messaging Family Drama” allows readers to follow the lives of three characters: Susan, a recent fashion industry graduate; her father Victor, a restaurant owner; and Susan’s best friend Dana, who works in her parent’s cafe next to Victor’s restaurant.
“This app fills a void in the entertainment space to give people something to look forward to each day. If someone likes reality shows or daytime dramas, the person will definitely enjoy this content.”
The app initially serves up episodes starting from Nov. 12, 2010 up to the installation date and from that point on, loads a new episode each day until Feb. 19, 2011, for a total of 100 episodes.
Messaging Family Drama is available in the Android Market for $1.00 (US).
Follow Susan, her father Victor, Susan’s best friend Dana and the rest of the cast in a modern texting drama about life, love and the pursuit of happiness. 100 episodes (Nov 12 – Feb 19). Download a new episode each day.
This is my second app for Android. It’s essentially a “daily”‘ in which the story is told by the characters through text messages. I’ve been told by my marketing test group that it draws the reader into the story. I hope you’ll find it interesting. It’s available in the Android Market for $1.00 US. That’s just one cent per day!
